I remember a moment while being a branch manager at a bank that changed my life forever. I was going through a very bad separation from my husband and was crushed. However, like all people the “show must go on”. I had bills to pay and work to do, but my head wasn’t in the game. One day at work I made a clerical error due to not being able to focus. At a bank a clerical error can mean your job. The close of the day came about, and I couldn’t find the error which meant I had to reported it to corporate. Later in the week the error was found but as corporate saw it, it was too late. Now, I didn’t get fired but I got the “if anything like this happens again you will be fired” talk. I thought myself lucky at the time. However, the error was quite small and it was a human mistake. I really began thinking, “how many people have I fired due to human errors?” When I looked back, it was all of them. Who was I? Is this what I wanted to do with my life. Is this who I wanted to be with my team? NO! I wanted my team to succeed and people don’t succeed if they fear getting fired every second because the made a human mistake. This point and those questions changed my life ever! I started rewriting my new life, my new way to lead, new way of being. This created a huge change! I went from having an okay staff to having the best and most successful staff in the region. My staff was the Super staff and I was the Super Manager. For the past 5 years I have been helping women and men in the financial industry, bankers, bank consultants, financial adviser change lives. If you work in this industry then you know that these high pressure jobs are nothing to laugh at. You are asked to help people that are in horrendous financial situations to make huge changes so they can get out from their debt and start making money. You have to get through their emotional stuff to help them but you have no training to do so. You are also asked to be a machine and never make a mistake, when a mistake happens you are often thrown out for “better parts” or a “better machine”. The is no room for humanity where you work, or for personality, or for living. You are just a cog in the monetary mechanism; not a person. The stress you feel is crazy, you may snap at any minute. But It doesn’t have to be this way! I have helped so many stop being just a “cog” to becoming leaders in the industry. They learned how to support and manage clients emotions to create success for both themselves and the consumer. They learn how to be a person in the monetary machine, which has led them to more wealth and personal fulfillment. The course I offer changed their lives just as it did mind. Yes, I know what it feels like because I worked in this industry. I wrote my course after having changed my life and wanted to help others in the industry to the same. Fun Fact: Benjamin Franklin used todo lists. He famously for a thirteen-week plan to practice virtues like cleanliness, temperance, etc, and he tracked each day. Benjamin also set himself a strict daily routine, which included time for sleeping, meals and working.
